VP Legal Notice
Jake brings substantial legal knowledge to Simpluris as Vice President of Legal Notice. A former practicing attorney, Jake offers expertise, strategic advice, and effective solutions to reach class members in any type of class action.
Jake has an extensive background in data analytics and legal marketing, and co-leads Simpluris’ legal noticing team. He has developed and overseen, in whole or in part, hundreds of notice programs and administrations, and has given both written and oral testimony on notice and administration procedures in federal and state court.
Prior to joining Simpluris, Jake worked with some of the first legal research AIs at Thomson Reuters, and practiced law in Minnesota. Notable matters Jake has been involved in at Simpluris include Solis, et al v. Hilco Redevelopment LLC, Shomroni v. FEI Labs Inc., Gregory v. Tubi, Inc., Mendoza v. ALDI, Inc., Stanford v. City of Atlanta Georgia, Patellos v. Hello Products, LLC, and In re Ambry Genetics Data Breach Litigation.
Jake earned a Bachelor’s in Philosophy from Wabash College and a Master of Science in Industrial Administration from Purdue University’s Krannert Graduate School of Management. He earned his Juris Doctor from Mitchell Hamline College of Law, where he was a Mitchell Fellow. From 1990-1995 Jake served in the U.S. Army 3rd Infantry Regiment, “The Old Guard,” as part of the Army’s escort to the President. He is a licensed attorney in Minnesota.
