Matt Rimmer

SVP Mass Torts

Matt Rimmer is Senior Vice President of Mass Torts at Simpluris and a member of the business development team. He partners with plaintiff law firms nationwide to design and deliver settlement administration solutions for mass tort and complex litigation matters, with a focus on helping firms move complex inventories to resolution efficiently and defensibly.

Matt has more than 13 years of experience across litigation support, legal technology, litigation finance, and mass tort settlement solutions. Prior to joining Simpluris, he served as Executive Vice President at Precedent and held senior roles at Bay Point Advisors and Counsel Financial, where he helped raise more than $350 million for contingency-fee plaintiff firms. Earlier, he was Director of Mass Tort and Class Action Solutions at Epiq (formerly Garretson Resolution Group).

Matt has advised extensively on the mass tort ecosystem. He has been engaged as an expert by funds, institutional investors, and law firms on matters including mass tort docket and campaign intelligence, portfolio and inventory valuation, litigation finance underwriting standards, and personal injury legal services market. Matt has worked extensively on notable matters including In re: Essure Product Cases, In re: Round Up, AFFF (Aqueous Film-Forming Foam (PFAS) Products Liability Litigation, and Talcum Powder litigation.

Matt earned a B.A. from Fairfield University and a J.D. from Barry University School of Law. He is admitted to the New York State Bar and is a member of the American Association for Justice, the American Bar Association, and the New York State Bar Association. Matt has been a speaker at National Trial Lawyers and AAJ.
