As Senior Vice President of Regulatory Enforcement and Remediation, Paul leads the government and fund distribution activities for Federal and State Enforcement practices. Paul works closely with regulators, financial institutions, law firms and retail clients to remediating enforcement orders and class action proceedings needing consumer and investor redress. These include, but not limited to, actions brought by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Federal Trade Commission (FTC), FINRA, CFTC, FDIC, Department of Labor, CFPB, and nearly all state Attorney General and Securities bodies. Paul also leads Simpluris’ efforts as a Fair Fund Administrator for the SEC and Redress Program Administrator for the FTC.
Prior to Simpluris, Paul served on the leadership team as Principal for SAR Capital Management, where he oversaw regulatory remediation, capital markets servicing and diligence, data product management, legal administration, and strategic servicing management for private equity and public financial services clients. For several years, Paul served as Vice President of Default and Servicing at HSBC Mortgage and Consumer Lending, building and leading operational, strategic, and quality assurance teams through some of the most critical regulatory remediation and compliance activities for bankruptcy, foreclosure, escrow/tax, insurance, short-sale, deed-in-lieu, and billing statements. He managed hundreds of regulatory controls for OCC/FRB consent orders, National Mortgage Settlement, CFPB, and the US Bankruptcy Code.
Paul earned his MBA, with honors, from Clarkson University and his BA, with honors, from State University of New York Plattsburgh.
